Quick Update
Hi Everyone! We are all doing really well, just super tired. I haven't had much time to post new pictures but I promise to get some up this week for sure! Payton is now three weeks old (4 weeks on Thursday!!) and he is filling out and changing just a little bit every day. He loves to eat and sleep and only has one fussy period in the late evening that keeps us up for a while. Other than that he is perfect and our little angel! The grandparents have been wonderful. They watch Payton every once in a while so that both Trav and I can get out of the house at the same time or take a nap. Trav and I even got to get away last Friday night for a dinner-date night which was much needed for the two of us! We will probably be utilizing them much more as time goes on; for now it has been great that they are so willing!! Payton has his one month appointment next Tuesday, so I will be sure to let you all know how that goes. Keep an eye out for more pictures this week! Thanks for all the calls, emails, and visitors! Love you!

Payton's Visitors!
Family Update...
Hi Everyone! Wanted to check in and let you know what we have been up to for the last week and a half. We have been busy adjusting to our no-sleep, new baby schedule! We have been busy watching him eat, sleep, poop, cry, look around, and just be! He is so adorable and we love him so much!
We had lots of visitors last week to check out our little guy and it has been so fun seeing everyone! Everyone that has stopped by has been so wonderful to us by bringing over dinners and little gifts for Payton. We have such great family and friends! Thank you!
We celebrated Travis's birthday last Wednesday, October 8th. Great-Grandpa Tom, Auntie Leah, and both sets of Grandparents came over for a Taco Bar dinner and fabulous mud-pie dessert prepared by Jeanie and Leah, plus fun presents for Trav!
We took Payton to see the Pediatrician on Thursday and the Doctor said he is very healthy! Payton weighed 7 lbs 12 oz, which is so great since he lost some weight after he was born, but has already gained it all back, plus some. He has been a great little eater which is helping him to be so healthy!
Travis is going back to work this Wednesday. It has been so great having him home to help out with late night and early morning feedings, changings, and just being involved with everything so we can go through it together.
There is not much planned for this week except for my mom's birthday on Wednesday so we are going to the grandparents house for dinner that night. Things are moving along and the more we get adjusted to our sleeping schedule the more we are able to move towards functioning for everyday life once again.
Thanks for all the calls, visits, and emails! And thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! We love you all!

Baby Kalamakis is finally here on 10/2/08!!!!!
I wanted to assure everyone that I am doing great as well. I know a lot of you heard that there was a slight complication after Payton was delivered which sent me for a short visit to the OR. I lost a lot of blood after the delivery due to an inverted uterus. I had the best Doctors and Nursing staff that took great care of me and got me right back to my husband and baby. I am feeling great and getting better each and every day! I just wanted to thank everyone for your prays and love!
I cannot wait for everyone to meet our little Payton! Thank you for all your love and support throughout the pregnancy! Payton, Travis and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive family and group of friends. We love you all!!!!

Kitchen Remodel
So on September 13th we started a kitchen remodel at home. At first we thought we were crazy to rip out our entire kitchen, all the cabinets, sink, our 1970s ovens, and stove top, knowing that the baby could come any day. But it actually turned out to be just the distraction we needed to keep us both from going stir-crazy just waiting for the baby.
Travis is officially my handy-man! He did such a great job and with only a few cosmetic touch-ups left to do, he has completed our kitchen remodel in just 2.5 weeks! Travis worked so hard for the last few weeks, on the weekend and after work, he was determined to get this job finished before our baby due date of October 3rd.
Travis and Andrew started the demo on Saturday the 13th and took everything out of the kitchen and to the dump. Throughout the next week Trav prepped for the arrival of the cabinets and appliances and began installing everything. With some further assistance from Andrew with the cabinet install and some plumbing and electrical configuring assistance from Kal, our kitchen is now fully functional and beautiful!
Thanks so much to Jeanie and Kal for all the coordinating, organizing, beautiful color and product selections, and labor!! And thank you so much to my wonderfully, handy husband for all the hard work he put into making everything just right!!! Take a look at our before and after photos! Looks pretty fancy!
These are all before. I wasn't able to get a picture until after they took off the ugly cabinet doors, but I think you get the idea.

Two days until Due Date!!!
So we had another appointment today. I am almost at 4 cms dilated and the doctor swept my membranes today. She did this in hopes to create more contractions and kickstart labor. The last few days I have been getting regular contractions for about 45 minutes and then they stop. The doctor said that was completely normal but they won't admit me until either my water breaks or I have the contractions, consecutively every 3-5 minutes, for more than an hour.
The doctor said that we will have our baby Payton by next Friday at the very latest!!! Only two days until our due date and if he's late then only 9 days until we have our little guy! I can't sleep anymore, I am so excited!
Keep you posted with more to come! :)
