Payton update...

Over the past month we have been watching Payton develop into a little person. He is starting to teeth so he puts anything in his mouth and is drooling like crazy. He has been talking (making more noises), smiling, and interacting with us so much more. It is amazing to watch him do something new every day. He is able to hold his head up pretty well so we have been having lots of tummy play time.
Payton has been introduced to the new babies in town and has already been on a double date with Tyler Olivia Thomas (5 months) and Isabel Violet Gies (3 weeks). Eat your heart out girls! ;) He was able to meet his extended aunties a few
weekends back when Shelby and Stacie came into town. All the girls got together at Kels house to meet Isabel and Payton - lots and lots of Aunties in that room! My cousin Shaunna was in town from Wednesday to Saturday. It was great to spend time with her and have her spend some time with Payton. She was also here when Siena arrived on Thursday!
Payton is changing so much everyday, its amazing! Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks! Enjoy!

Bon voyage Leah!

On Monday Leah, Trav's sister, headed back to France to pursue her fashion career. Leah graduated from FIT in New York last May and then went to France for the summer to be an opare. While she was there, she fell in love with the Country as well as a French man too, I think! ;) She made it home two days before Payton was born and has been home ever since. After being home for three months, Leah decided to go back. She will be taking a few clasess while in France to strengthen her language skills and will be looking for a job in the fashion industry. We know that she will eventually find her way back to NY or Seattle and hopefully it is sooner than later. Otherwise, we may have to visit France to get a little sister time in! We will miss her so much but we wish her all the best in finding a great work opportunity and life experience!

We love you Leah and are so proud of you!

Carlie's Shower

On Sunday, the sisters and my mom hosted a shower for Carlie and Baby Girl Fitz! Carlie is due at the end of January and we are so excited to welcome another baby into the family! She cleaned up at the shower, taking home lots of cute clothes, blankets and toys. Andrew and Carlie are still deciding on names for Baby Girl Fitz, so I will keep everyone posted once she arrives!

Happy New Year!!! 2009!!!

Happy New Year to everyone! This year we stayed in and had a few friends and family over to bring in the New Year. Lynne, Joe, Lauren, Rich, Tristan, Angie, Ben, Carlie & Andrew joined us for dinner, the Wii, and drinks! It was quite a fun evening at the Kalamakis Household! Here is to everyone’s health and happiness in 2009!!

Angie's Birthday!

We celebrated Angie’s 26th Birthday on December 30th! She really wanted a Kitchen Aid so she could start baking more and boost up her Betty Crocker talents! She has already made a few batches of some "real nice" cookies! Happy Birthday Ang!

Surprise Birthday for Aunt Tia

Happy 50th Birthday to Aunt Tia!! We all attended a surprise Birthday party for Tia on the Sunday after Christmas at the Pyramid Ale House in Seattle. Lots of family and a great surprise!!! So great to see everyone!! We love you Tia!

Grandma Jeanie's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jeanie! We spent the afternoon with Jeanie for her birthday on the Saturday after Christmas! We made dinner, played games and relaxed. Always fun to spend time at the beach with the family! We love you Grandma Jeanie!

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas to everyone!! We woke up early Christmas morning to 6 new inches of snow!! We ended up with about 18 inches total in our front yard over that past week! Defiantly the snowiest Christmas I have ever known! We packed up Payton and Bodi and drove down to Gig Harbor for Christmas breakfast and presents with Jeanie, Kal, Leah and Grandpa Tom. This is the first Christmas in Jeanie and Kal’s new home and it was beautiful snowy morning on the water. So peaceful! This year we were snowed in on the day we were going to do Santa pictures so we captured one with the neighbors Santa that morning. After a delicious breakfast and more presents, we packed up the troops and headed back up to Kirkland for more food at my parents house! My parents have been hosting my Dad’s side of the family for the past few years for Christmas Dinner. This year the Heringers came up from Texas, California, and Oregon. So fun to see all of them! Again, Payton was showered with more gifts since he was the only little baby this Christmas; he was royally spoiled. It was the best First Christmas with Payton we could have asked for!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went over to my Grandma’s house in Redmond. It had been snowing for the last week so she had at least a foot and a half of snow up at her house. My mom’s side of the family has been getting together every year at my Grandma’s house on Christmas Eve ever since I can remember. Trav’s family gets together at his Grandpa’s with a similar tradition, so we have been trading off each year. We did a present exchange with all the cousins and my Grandma ended up with the best coffee mug ever made! There were lots of people, delicious food and a ton of presents for Payton! Payton had no idea what was going on but it was fun getting him dressed up and holding his hand on a present while Trav or I opened it for him.
