Second Doctor's Appointment

We had our second doctor's appointment today and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! The Doctor said she heard ONE healthy baby heartbeat! It was so exciting to hear that there is actually something in there! I am officially 12.5 weeks along so at our 20 week appointment they will do an ultrasound. At that time the Doctor will be able tell us what the sex of the baby is (if we decide to find out), examine the heart functions, count fingers and toes and more. We are really looking forward to this appointment!! As always we will keep you posted when we know more!

Two Year Anniversary

Travis and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary on Monday, March 24th! In the morning before I woke up, Trav put 'I love you' notes all around the house which I found throughout the day. My favorite note was the one that he put in my wallet, so when I went to pay for gas I got another sweet surprise! What a creative and thoughtful guy! We went to a nice dinner at Cafe Veloce, which was delicious! And we got to see the Bunyard family at the same restaurant, which was an added treat! When we got back from dinner we watched our wedding video and it was so crazy to think that it has been two years already! Overall, it was a great two year anniversary. Its even crazier to think that on our third anniversary we are going to be parents!! :)

1st Trimester

So its true! We are having a baby!!! We found out our big news on January 22nd! It was so hard to not say anything to a lot of our family and friends but the people we did tell early on were so excited for us! Especially Grandma Sue and Jeanie and Grandpa Andy and Kal!!! Our first appointment was finally on February 26th, which felt like it took forever from the day we found out. It was so relieving to talk with the Doctor and have them say, "you are pregnant" even though I knew I was. We got several questions answered and found out our due date and how far a long I actually am.

Our due date is set for October 4th and as of right now I am 10.5 weeks along. Only a week and a half until I am officially through my First Trimester!!!

These last couple of months Travis and I have kind of been hermits because I have been SO exhausted! We have watched close to 100 movies (exaggerating a little) and feel like we have been financially supporting the weekend Blockbuster staff. I have been very fortunate in that I have not gotten sick at all. I have just been super tired. Other than being tired, I am doing just great.

Travis has been working hard around the house, getting things baby-ready. We are just so anxious and excited and happy to be expanding our family!

Our next appointment is in two weeks. I will be sure to update this blog after each appointment since we will be going every four weeks from now on. I will also try to add pictures every so often.

Once my tummy gets as big as Trav's (he is totally pushing his out!!), we will post my picture!

We meet in high school and dated for a few months our junior year; nothing serious at the time. We both went our own ways after high school. Travis went to Whatcom Community College for a year and then began working right away. I went off to WSU and graduated four (and a half) years later with a bachelors degree in Business Administration/MIS. After college we meet up once again and began dating more seriously than our first high school go around. On our 'third' year anniversary Travis proposed to me on the Wenatchee Ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. We were married on March 24, 2006, and it was one of the happiest days of our lives! :) Here we are two years later celebrating our second year of marriage together and just 30 weeks away from expanding our family!!
