We had so many things going on last month that I wasn't able to write about much, so I thought I would do a quick review of a few things we did in October. The majority of the month revolved around welcoming Payton into the world on October 2nd and adjusting to our new life of minimal sleep, new challenges, and the best additional to our family!! But along with welcoming Payton, we also celebrated Trav's 29th Birthday on October 8th, Leah's (Trav's sister) birthday on October 10th, and my Mom's birthday on October 15th. By the way, Happy belated birthday to all the Friends and Family with October Birthdays that we missed!
Trav's sister, Leah, graduated from FIT in New York this last May and left for France shortly after. She finally came home from France two days before Payton was born, which was so wonderful. After 10 longs months we were able to see her for the first time since she returned just an hour before Payton was born at the hospital. We are so excited she is finally home and hope that she will stay in town for a while; it is so fun having her around.
The weekend before Halloween, Trav and I took Payton to the pumpkin patch to get his first pumpkin. I carried Payton in the Baby Bjorn and Trav picked the best pumpkins for us. We got three big pumpkins and had great ideas for carving them; Travis carved one and the others never got touched. We didn't have enough time or energy before Halloween to carve all three and get them out in time for the trick-or-treaters. At least we tried though! :) We had lots of trick-or-treaters on Halloween and Payton got to wear his "BOO" hat to his first Halloween Party at the Sperry's House, but that was the extent of his costume. Next year we will have more energy to carve pumpkins, dress Payton up in the best costume, and stay over an hour at a Halloween party!
We are getting ready for the holidays and have lots planned for November and December so there will be plenty more to report soon. I hope you are all well!
