Payton meets the Kalamakis Fam

Last weekend we took our first road trip with Payton over to Moses Lake. We traveled over the mountains so Payton could meet his Great Grandma K, G. Aunt Kathy, Uncle Steve & Aunt Cindy and his second cousins Hanna, Hailey, Corley, Pete, Lindsay & Josh for the first time. We took off on Friday morning and drove over the pass which was still covered in snow. It was a beautiful drive. We stayed at Trav’s Aunt Kathy’s new home in Moses Lake. She was so hospitable and we had such a great time with her and the rest of the family. Kathy hosted dinner at her house on Friday night and the whole family came over to visit with us. We had some good laughs and great conversation. It was so fun to catch up with everyone! The following day we took a trip to Wal-Mart, apparently that is a big thing to do there! Then we headed over to Trav’s Grandma K’s house where the rest of the Kalamakis’ joined us. We visited for a while there and then went to lunch at this cute little café/bakery in town. After lunch we headed back home. It was a short visit but it was lots of fun. On the way home we got stuck just before the pass for about two hours because they were doing avalanche patrol and then there was an accident. That was not very much fun with a six month old in the back wanting to get out. But we made the most of it and were glad we made the trip. Thank you to the Kalamakis family for making us feel so welcome. Payton had so much fun meeting everyone! :)
