Boy or Girl Countdown!!

ONE WEEK, 7 more DAYS, from today we find out if we are having a boy or a girl!!! We are so exciting and YES we will let you all know!!! People have been guessing what we are having and asking if I have any feelings as to what it is. I have NO idea!! Trav and I are excited for either a Boy or Girl.

Any fun things we can try to figure out the sex of the baby before the Doctor tells us? We can test them to see if they work! Any other guesses as to what we are having?

I will report back next week and let you all know!! Thanks for reading! :)

WSU Graduation!

Last weekend I drove over to Pullman with my Mom, Dad and Carlie for Andrew's graduation from WSU!! We meet up with Hillary, Brad and my Aunt Mina, Uncle Len, and Chris who were there for my cousin Steven who was also graduating. Forgot what a LONG drive that is! :)

Pullman has changed a lot since I graduated from there (6 years ago). Lots of new construction everywhere which is improving the campus and making it look very nice! There are so many new apartment complexes, restaurants and stores all over. It is great to see the town growing and updating!!

When we got into town we headed to the store for a beer run and filled
an entire shopping cart with beer, wine and my six pack of non-alcohol Becks. The first beers were cracked around 1:30 PM once we got to Andrew's apartment. I soberly watched from side which was just great, while Andrew and his roommates, Steven & Levi, shared some fun stories about their college days! That night we went to Rancho Veijo for a good Mexican dinner. Around 8:30 PM I was ready for bed. I think I set a new record for calling it a night that early in Pullman!! :)

Andrew's graduation ceremony was at 8:00 AM the next morning, so we meet him outside of Beasley Coliseum and snapped a few pictures with him before it started. I was so excited for him and SO proud of him! He graduated in the Construction Management program and everyone in their department wore hardhats rather than the traditional commencement hats! It was a great touch!

At the beginning of the commencement ceremony all of the graduates walk into the Coliseum with their department. I had forgotten what an exciting moment it was! Lots of fun memories came flooding back and I just remember thinking that this is such a bigger moment than I ever remembered it to be! Andrew said that it was a pretty big rush walking in and having everyone cheering for you! This is a big life accomplishment!

We packed Andrew up and moved him home on Sunday and he started his new job on Monday morning! He is such a go-getter! Andrew and Carlie are getting married on June 21st in Boise, ID! Even though Carlie is a Husky, we still love her and are so excited to welcome her into our family!!!

I am so proud of Andrew! He has accomplished so much already at such a young age. He is so determined to get it done and/or make it happen. Last summer, without any training, he decided that he was going to climb Mount Rainer and a few weeks later he climbed to the top of the mountain! Andrew is such a driven individual and I truly admire his heart and commitment to any challenge or goal he sets for himself! Congratulations on this great achievement of graduating from college Andrew! You are now officially apart of the WSU ALUM CLUB! ;) Love you man!

A Day At Vashon...

This past weekend, Travis, my Mom, Bodi and I all headed over to our family vacation home on Vashon Island for the day. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the perfect opportunity to get out of town. We were sure to get there early enough so we had a full day to relax and unwind. Travis and Bodi fished for a while. Mom did some gardening. And I soaked up some sun and worked on a few Sudoku puzzles. After a while we played basketball and then went for a nice
long walk on the beach. We caught up with our cousins who have a house down the beach and then headed home around 7 PM. Bodi had such a great time! He ran and played so hard that he slept the entire next day. It was such a wonderful day! Finally a warm change in the weather!!! I am really looking forward to spending more time over there in the summer!

Bodi's Birthday!!!! April 28th

Today is Bodi's 4th Birthday (so I guess in dog years that's what 28 years old)!!!!! YEAH for Bodi! He has been such a trooper lately, especially since the last few months I haven't had much energy to take him on as many walks or outings as he would like. He is so excited when we do anything with him lately; even a car ride to the grocery store and back is great excitement for him. Poor little puppy!!! I have been getting more energy back so we are increasing his weekly walks, which he is definitely enjoying.

Today, I made Bodi a birthday cake and we got him a few new toys. We are thinking it is best to spoil him now, since when the baby comes he may very well be pushed aside for a little while. He has been playing with his new toys all day and he LOVED his cake! I think he loves anything he can eat though! :)

Bodi has been our baby and main focus of attention ever since we got him at six weeks old. We are starting to look into ways of introducing the existing baby, Bodi, to the new baby! We have gotten a few great ideas from some friends and family already. We are always open for suggestions and ideas, so if you have any PLEASE let us know!! It will be an interesting adjustment period, that's for sure!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY BODI!!!

Third Doctor's Appointment

Today we had our third doctor's appointment! After waiting in the doctor's office for an hour (Trav was not excited about that one bit), we finally got in to hear the baby's heartbeat, have some tests done, and get some blood drawn. Getting blood drawn is my least favorite thing to do! They had to poke me in both arms to find the blood - not a great experience!! The doctor said everything looks and sounds good so far. We are waiting on a few of the test results which we will get back next week, but so far so a good! :)

Our next appointment is on May 20th. This is our big ultrasound appointment where we get to see the baby for the first time, since we havent' had any ultrasounds yet. At this appointment we will find out the sex of the baby!!! We have decided to find out what we are having so we will notify everyone once we know. They record the ultrasound to a DVD so we can have it for keepsake. I will see if I can get a picture of it to post. Once we know the sex of the baby then we will start our shopping for the nursery and start putting that room together!

We are really excited to start shopping for him/her!!!!

Mom-to-be update...

I am about 16 weeks along (156 days to go) and am finally getting my energy back!! Yeah! I have lucked out with not getting morning sickness which I was so thankful for!! I have slipped (more like, been forced) into a few maternity clothes even though I have not "popped" yet. My doctor says it will be any time now that my belly starts looking like a pregnant ladies belly!!

So far adjusting to my new body, energy levels and food interests have been the most eventful/challenging things. I am creating an entirely new wardrobe for spring and summer which so far so good, but definitely different from last years! I am able to exercise more which gives me more energy throughout the day. I have been incorporating a few cups of coffee during the week which helps with my energy as well. I stopped drinking caffeine for the first few months just to be safe. I have discovered non-alcoholic Wine (which is one of the greatest inventions) and have enjoyed a few non-alcoholic beers during special occasions. I haven't had too many weird food cravings except for cheese and raspberry ice cream (which Trav so kindly drove to three different stores to find).

I broke down the other night and ate something I haven't had in about 14 years! For those of you that don't know, I haven't eaten red meat or pork since I was about 14 years old. I didn't think it would happen to me, but the other night I really wanted a hot dog for some reason. So Trav threw a couple on the BBQ and we ate a hot dog together!!! I must admit it wasn't half bad, BUT I don't advise anyone who hasn't eaten meat (or parts of meat) in that long to start off with a hot dog!!! The experience was memorable, but I don't think I will be eating another hot dog any time soon!

So far I don't have much to complain about or dish about either! More to come! :)

We will start adding more...

Hi everyone! I have decided that our blog is getting boring with only a monthly entry. So Trav and I decided that we will be better at adding more posts throughout each month. They may not be the most exciting posts, but we hope you enjoy! :)

Hope everyone is doing great!!!
